Tempe, AZ - Desert Oasias and Desert Nights

Papagos Park in Tempe Arizona

There is something intriguing about the desert. One of my favorite things about it is the feeling as the sun sets and the wind picks up with a refreshing warm breeze. The desert night is so warm and so alive. It is a wonderful setting for a nice evening stroll (with camera in hand). Since I was staying in Tempe, I was naturally drawn to the water front of the Salt River and Town Lake with all the bridges, paths and parks it was a great place to spend an evening. I hope you enjoy the pictures and can imagine the warmth of the desert night. :)

Arizona State University

Tempe Arizona - I was in Arizona over the weekend for a conference at Arizona State University. A colleague and I presented and had a great turn out. It was nice to do some networking with people from all over the country. We also had a very important and profitable dinner meeting at the House of Tricks. I think this trip and the meeting will be one of those career-defining moments. :)

I think it is time to continue to EXPLORE and grow... it is time to lay claim to destiny. I think the first picture in this entry is cool and inspiring. I love how the word is reflected in the glass and that if you are truly going to “explore” anything you need to be thoughtfully observant while at the same time passionate and excited. (I hope you enjoy these pictures from ASU - picture above to the right is a detailed view of Frank Llyod Wright's Gammage building)
